Our Programs
Learning Starts Here — and Grows With Them
At First Years University of Illinois, every program is designed to meet children right where they are and grow with them. From first cuddles to first discoveries, each classroom builds confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning—one stage at a time.
(6 weeks – 15 months)
Tiny moments. Big beginnings.
Our Infant Program is all about comfort, connection, and trust. Babies are cared for in a calm, responsive environment where routines are honored and relationships come first.
Each day is filled with talking, singing, sensory play, gentle movement, and plenty of one-on-one care. Feeding and sleeping schedules are individualized, giving families peace of mind and babies the security they need to thrive.
This is more than care—it’s a baby’s first learning space.
(15 months – 2 years)
Busy hands. Curious minds.
Toddlers learn by moving, touching, exploring, and trying things on their own—and our Toddler Program is designed for exactly that. Through hands-on play, music, language-rich activities, and daily routines, toddlers build confidence while learning how to communicate and connect with others.
Educators guide big feelings, encourage independence, and celebrate every new skill along the way.
Confidence takes center stage.
Our Two-Year-Old Program blends playful structure with discovery and independence. Children explore early learning, creativity, and social interaction while becoming more confident in group settings.
**Potty training is introduced in this classroom—or sooner if a child is developmentally ready—**using a supportive, pressure-free approach in partnership with families. Learning is never rushed, and progress is always celebrated.
(3 – 5 years)
Where curiosity meets purpose.
Our Preschool Program prepares children for kindergarten while keeping learning fun, hands-on, and engaging. Children explore early literacy, math, science, and creative thinking through meaningful experiences that encourage problem-solving and independence.
Educators focus on confidence, collaboration, and communication—helping children feel proud of what they know and excited about what’s next.
